hi i know theres a few threads already about this but the remote central locking kit i bought is asking for the common wire from central locking i know the blue and white wires are locking/unlocking but does anyone know the colour of the third wire(common) as to save me taking of door panel also where does the two wires go to work the hazzard lights all info gratefully received thanks pac.

you need to remove the glove box to access the central locking relay. the relay pins are numbered. use the wiring diagram in the haynes manual to figure out which pin is for the common wire (cant remeber off the top of my head). to join your new wire to the common its easier to simply push the wire into the relay socket and then put the relay in to keep the wire in place. when i last installed central locking on a bravo i had to join 4 wires to the relay, but i think my wiring has 2 seperate earths, you can use one (common). if you locate the central locking brain near the relay behind the glove box it saves you tracing wires all over.

the indicators can be most easily wired up to the central locking using the wires behind the hazard warning switch. if you pull the switch out there are 4 wires on its connector. 2 are for the switch illuminaiton, the other 2 are for the indicators. cut into the live wire for the indicators and join this to your indicator output on your new central locking. the wire easily routes through the dash from the switch to the new central locking if you locate the central locking near the relay behind the glovebox as I have already suggested.

good luck (y)
