I'm just about to buy a set of 17" Alloys for my Marea weekend 2.0 20V, but I'm unsure as to which profile tyres I should get as not to rub anywhere when turning full lock preferably.

205/40/17 are virtually identical in overall size so they will fit great and not make any difference to your speedo.

good size 205/40/17 . got them on mine,its been lowered aswell. but still doesnt catch or rub on anything

Apart from potholes

with only 40 profile I'd be chosing the roads I drive along carefully.
