Our Marea ELX 115 (2000) has a bit of a problem with it's horn.
It hasn't been working that well of late and didn't always work when hit.
About 5 days ago, it started going off (of it's own accord) constantly whenever we turned the steering wheel to the right. After being hit a few times it would stop.
S tried to drive it to work, but only made it to the first turn - out of our road, before it started blaring away (neighbours were not very appreciative at that hour of the morning!).
It was left for a couple of days over Easter, but then on Easter Sunday at 1.30am it suddenly decided to start going off, as it was sitting there in the drive!!!!
We ended up disconnecting the battery as this was the only way we could get it to stop.
Unfortunately the nearest garage to have it fixed at is about a 20min drive (on a good run) away and we don't really fancy doing that with the horn blaring away.............
Please can anyone tell me how best to disconnect this horn so we can drive it to the garage in peace in order to have it properly fixed.
Is there a fuse we can pull out or a wire we can disconnect to stop it going off?
Bear in mind though, that we're obviously not mechanical experts!!!
Thanks
