I have changed gear knob for my Marea 99 manual shift. Omitting any story how I motivated or whatever and here we go how I did.
1. Softly and carefully remove gaiter(under the knob consisting of leather and plastic bottom)
2. Lift up gaiter as high as you can so the leather won't cover up the stick but knob
3. Remove a pin that is grabbing leather on a knob
4. Lift down gaiter but don't have to put it back to where it was yet
5. Twist a knob to the right and left as many and as strong as you can till it comes off(I first used hand power and at last I used a tool to remove it)
6. Now there is no longer an old knob so install new one carefully
7. Don't forget to make leather to be held on a knob
8. putting gaiter back to where it was is very easy job just press gently to the original place
