Hi, i have had a leak in the heater matrix, which i have fixed by way of a tablet put in the water tank. It seems to have done the trick, but i was wondering what sort of a job it was to change the matrix. Has anybody got a drawing of the matrix etc, to let me see what's involved. Thanks.

I'm not sure if the matrix changes between models or if it's similar to the bravo.. Maybe the eper (http://eper.fiatforum.com) might show you enough...

Hi,

Well, I watched mechanics replacing heater matrix on my marea weekend (2001 1.9JTD). Please note that my steering wheel is on the left side.

They did it in 35 minutes. They just took passenger compartment out, and there it was, both pipes could be reached without any effort. Two screws holding the matrix and it is gone. No need to take the dash appart and everything can be reached from inside the car. 6 screws total. If only I knew it was that easy :bang:

And with the steering wheel on the right... I just don't know

Sorry for not getting back to anyone before now, had a problem with my computer. Thanks for the replies, up to now it seems o.k. Will keep my fingers crossed. Everyone i talk to seems to think it would be a dash out job, so i'll leave it till it becomes really bad. Thanks again.
