The Digital Mileage And Trip Meter Display Has Stopped Working On My 1998 Marea Weekender Est.

The Rest Of The Dash Is Fine , Rev Counter, Dash Lights Etc , Just The Mileage Part In The Middle Has Dissapeared

Mine always show the temp i have to press the black button under it to see the mileage

where is the fuse for the mileage display ??

in the fusebox ;)

But seriously look in the brava section in the FAQs its in there (general section I think)

Just like seme, my display now constantly shows the temperature instead of mileage. It used to stick like that for a couple of journeys and then go back to normal but now it doesn't.
Any ideas on this one?

Exacly the same thinhg happened to mine last week, the bulb had failed. Its a simple job to replace it though, just undo the 5 or 6 allen screws around the dash fascia, then remove it,undo the allen screws that hold the clocks in and then ease them forwards, revealing the back of the clocks. The milage bulb is the black one in the middle, twist it to remove and then refit in revevse,it took me about 15 minutes all done,my local fiat garage quoted me approx £50 to do this simple job!

Since I posted my mileage has come back by itself! I'll try not to hit the temperature button now if I can help it.

Must admit that mine's the same. It did it over the summer then fixed itself, but it's happened again recently when the automatic temp. display kicked in because it was below freezing. I'm also having some problems with the radio so I'm wondering if there's some water getting in somewhere?

I think this must be one of those fiat electric anomolies, we have a 130 jtd weekend and the temp indicator often stays on, it usually goes back to mileage after the windscreen wipers have been used (particularly on the intermitant setting), but it is a bit hit and miss, it is currently showing temperature, but I am expecting a change any day now! Also about a couple of months ago the mileage display stopped glowing at night with the lights on (we thought must be a bulb, but didn't get round to fixing) about a week ago it started working again.... go figure....

My philosophy on fiat electrics is to live and let live, if it is not critical wait a while and it will probably fix it's self.
