Well this one's already being difficult .....to name but a few issues
1. Hesitation on acceleration
2. Stalling when coming to a stand still
3.knocking from the engine on start up after stalling
4.knocking from suspension
5.clutch hydraulics seem to be giving trouble

This one's gonna be a Bitch, I can tell

done many miles / been neglected..??

being diesel it's a nightmare on frosty mornings..

sorry to diverge but, that doesn't sound right, our mornings have dropped to -7 this last week, and I've had no trouble. A small noticeable reduction in the crank speed, but still fires up after 3 turns.

back on topic, it would be a shame to get rid of such a nice looking car, just because the engine throws a tantrum. Is the body and chassis in as good a condition as the photo suggests?

Water in cylinders?
Or maybe one of the small end bearings has seized due to dirty oil (had that happen once on a bike, 1-3 sounds similar as when it cooled down it worked for a while until I completely seized it up on a hill).

Well the diagnosis is oil starvation due to a failed oil Pump
Soo gutted ......was such a lovely car .....shame there is nothing I can do ....e rebuild will cost around £900 and no one in the world is selling a 150 CF3 engine apparently .....another car that's gonna meet it's end :'(

Where did you find this? I was looking at a very similar one in Birmingham a couple of weeks ago, but that was on a private number plate but was really a "Y Plate".
My Marea 155 has a busted engine currently, needs full rebuild, not sure weather to keep or scrap?

According to howmanyleft, there's less than 40 Marea 155s left, and that's the combined figure for both taxed and SORN...
