Hey, I have a 51 plate weekend 20v hlx leather etc. It's got 34k on the clock. The cambelt was last changed 4 years ago at 26k. I know it's due soon or now but would like to wait a few months. However when I look at the visible part of the belt whilst it looks recent there is cracking in the lines. When I say lines it's how that belt is e.g. grooved lines...am I looking at the cambelt? Every thing else it factory fresh like the rest of the car thanks.

And the change interval for the timing end was halved from 6 years on the owners manual to 3 years. Also the distance was halved.

Thanks and I guess you can't replace just the aux in the interim?

In 20v marea there are three belts.
The timing belt drives the waterpump which is also good to be replaced when changing the timing belt/tensioners.
Two aux belts, one driving the power steering pump from the engine and one driving alternator (+aircon) from the power steering pump.

I thought you had some garage in UK that does cheap belt changes for the 20v coupes and other cars with the engine, cant remember the name tho.
They leave the engine in car, all quotes I got here were pulling the engine out as in service manual. Thats why I change my own.
