Hello friend,

My car is Fiat Marea HLX 2.0 Petrol and Mk2 Engine (2001 Year)

I want to install cruise control.

ECU: Bosch Motronic ME 3.1

How to install?

Thanks...

Hi, :)

connect Multi ECU Scan, and see if the Cruise icon lights on the Dashboard, ;)

I tried this on my 110 JTD = no icon ,
system does not support CRUISE from the factory:(

g8rpi tried on his marea also,

Charlie

Hi,

Not need lights icon on the dashboard. As Fiat Punto.. Maybe support ECU?

We must to look at the socket shema.

ME 3.1 on marea does not support it, not sure about the ME 3.1 EOBD.
Options are:
Aftermarket cruiseconrol, pretty impossible due to electric throttle as no-one makes one for marea.
Reflashesd Lancia 2.4 ecu to work on 2.0 (or just fuelpressure/injector size tinkering), pain in the ass but lancia had cruise, maybe lancia firmware would be enough on old ECU along adding the pins to the connectors.
Megasquirt ECU...
Build your own (I did on my 155 VIS, currently just a servo on throttle pedal, but I have plans to integrate it into the throttle potentiometer if I get a spare one for testing).

Already Me 3.1 EOBD.

Maybe with servo motor to throttle pedal. Other options is difficult. But if not support ECU.

QUOTE - I believe the problem might be in the unit. There were two versions in Marea JTD 110 - Fiat numbers 46817802 and 73501231. All, who I know and have CC working have 73501231. I bought it in Poland for a funny price (22 €), so I'll try if it can process the second brake signal. If yes, I'll find someone to swap eprom containing keycode and odometer and use this one from now on. I'll let you guys know here, since those forum has been of much help for me when retrofitting the CC. - Unquote

I'll have to see which mine has.. connecting MES will be easier than trying to read under the dash..!!

didn't appear to have the "tacho" symbol on my dash though.. not sure if this is conclusive - or will work o.k. without,

Charlie

Not need light on the indicator.

And i have not two brake signal in the my car.

I dont think the marea has real CAN-bus as the OBD was just added to old system. For example stilos were built with CAN bus from the beginning.

You're right. No CANBUS in Marea. Which criuse control module compatible to my car?
