Rear wiper motor on my Marea Weekend 2.0 is not working and is "buzzing" loudly when the ignition key is turned on even though the wiper is switched off. Any ideas?

Only way I have found to turn it off is too remove the wiper fuse but that knocks out the front wipers too.

Disconnect the wiring at the motor chap.

Well known weakness is the rear wiper. Seizes easily. If you can be bothered you can take it to bits an re-grease the shaft of find one from a scrappy for iro £30 - £45. New from FIAT will be iro £170 plus VAT excl fitting.

Same thing on mine but it's sorted, (at least for now) by pulling the rubber shroud back that covers the spindle (this turns in a plastic tube/sleeve) and drilled a small hole through the plastic. through this hole i pushed the thin pipe you get with a can of WD40. after a good quantityof juice and gentle coaxing it freed up, and up to now it's still free.
1 tip- drill the hole on the downward facing side and put a temporary plug in to stop any more crap getting back in. An occasional additional squirt won't do any harm either.

If It Doesnt Work Instead Of Taking The Fuse Out,
Take Your Plastic Cover Off Your Boot To Expose The Wiper Motor And Disconnect It By The Plug There.
My Rear Wiper Doesnt Work Either But Doesnt Make A Buzzing Noise,
I,l Let You Know How Much I Get One For. I Own A Bravo But Rekon They Be The Same Unit

Several for sale on ebay at the moment. search for fiat wiper motor.
if it's the same as the brava one then there are 2 -3 up for grabs

Got one off someone who posted on here that he was breaking some Marea HLX`s together with a replacement spotlamp and aerial mount - cost £50 all in including postage.

His email if anyone wants any Marea bits is [email protected]
