Hi,

First of all you got to check the level of the oil fluid. While engine is
runing & hot, check the level of the fluid.

As for Marea, the level of fluid must be higher than the mark/notch by 1.5
inches eventhough the fiat manual says the fluid level is at the 'hot mark'.

So pls check the fluid level first.

BAsed on my experience, my suggested level (hihger than normal) of fluid
makes the gearbox runs smoother without failed.

Okay, when gearbox light indicator appear, can the car move when you shift to the lowest gear or d2?

FYI, there are many reasons for the gearbox to fail

1. Car battery low voltage or loosen earthing that cause insufficent supply to gearbox ECU & selenoids in gearbox
2. low fluid...ignore this coz you've topped-up it. If U run with low fluid for a long period, this will damage the cluthes in the gearbox!
3. loosen gearbox wire harneness
4. loosen shifting gear lever this may cause the gearbox indicator to blink & fail. eg the gear box position shows D at instrument panel but at the gearbox lever is between D & N or between D & D3. (I hope you can understand this).
5. One of the 4 Selenoids in the gearbox failed.
6. Temperature sensor in the gearbox fail.
7. Choke/contaminated filter in the gearbox
8. Faulty gearbox cooling fan
9. Burn cluthes in the gearbox that require dismantle & general overhaul of the gearbox.

i show your last msg to the car mechanic and electrical man
after 7 hr exactly the problem solved by one of your suggestion..... idont know which one but
the spicialist dont want to talk about this(secret of work) i think it is electrical; i did not buy any parts ....

it cost me 95$..

anyway .. it is now working very good
