I have just bought a new radiator for my Marea 2.0 but it has an extra 22 mm(approx) threaded hole in the header tank, as opposed to the original which does not. the supplier says it is the only one called up for that model, is there a blanking plug I can fit. ?

Hey Steve, welcome to the forum.

I had the same problem with my Bravo 1.8 Mk1(1995-1997). The original factory radiator had a core plug the new radiator had a threaded hole for a sensor used on the mk2 (1998-2001) version only.

All i did was pick up a sensor from a scrap yard (£5) and screw it in. Its a radiator fan switch, it makes an electrical contact when the radiator gets to the right temperature. Id expect it available at any motorfactors and Fiat ofcourse, Ive seen them on the web new for about £15.
