Hi again, my cars booked in for it's mot today and I've spotted two big fat rubber bushes near the front of the rear suspension, theyre partially hidden by a black plastic cover. Anyway they look shot and it doesn't look like an easy job to change them. Anyone come across this before ? I get the feeling I'm going to be selling it as spares !!

Thanks in advance

Iain

I've removed the whole subframe from car on jackstands. Its not too bad to do if you got the space for it, removing the fueltank is the hard part.
These are currently on my front bushes Link.
On the underside they are still good.

Looks like they come off the upside and are press fitted, no idea how much new ones would cost. Maybe get another subframe from scrappers and check the trailing arm bearings/change arms if brakes are different, while it is still easy.

Mine have been in a sorry state ever since I had the car, but there not on the MOT list so don't worry.

Well it failed on said bushes and it would explain the cars handling lately as there was a lot of play at the sub frame. Have checked out the leads I got on here and hope to have them fitted this coming week

Thanks again

Iain
