Hi!

I hope someone can help, we have a Fiat Marea 1998 - we love it and have had no problems with it and has always started firsted time every time, until today! We were cleaning it yesterday and all was fine until this afternoon when we went to start it up - the battery was as flat as a pancake (our 3 year old had been helping us clean it and had left the light on and we hadn't noticed).

We jumped started the car with no luck, charged the battery with no luck and have replaced the battery and still no luck.

Is there something we are missing? We never had a manual when we bought it, so any and I mean any advise would be very gratefully received.

Probably you have a problem with Inertia Fuel Shut-Off switch (IFS)!

In some cases it happens when car was cleaned by vacum-cleaner and when you stress this switch which has primary function to shut-off fuel pump when crash happens. This switch can be located below driver seat, front passenger seat or below fuses panel (left to steering wheel). Try under seats first ....



You just need to locate IFS switch and press rubbered cap at the top of it .....
