hi..........

know nothing about car engine..... sory.

the engine temp. is indicate high, the fan is running. workshop ask me to change the radiator fan and temp. sensor (at radiator)....... i did it.
but........... the problem is still there.
is there any thermostat in the hose system to the radiator and where is the location if any? can i remove that thermostat?

my second problem is..............
when starting, the engine gone crazy as if it is in full throttle. RPM almost at 5000. after 2 to 5 time on and off the engine, then it come back to normal.
when driving... i can feel the engine is not stable and RPM almost stuck at 2000RPM whe slowing down to almost stop.
can someone help me in this......

the fiat workshop/dealer is killing me with their advise.
sorry my english is bad.

Hi apai,

The water divert thermostat is on the right hand side of the engine block. Follow the radiator top hose to it.

Is your engine petrol or diesel? If petrol the ECU temp sensor may be shot and telling the ECU that it needs more fuel. It may also be a problem with the lambda sensor. You really need a diagnostic from your dealer, sorry.

If diesel it could be the idle control solenoid on the throttle block.

Good luck.

hi dave...........thank a lot for the help.

my engine is petrol (1.6 elx auto/petrol).
may be i've found the problem....
i have found that the blower motor for the radiator is small.
(after taking me almost three day to dismantle and reinstall)
may be the garage have change the motor with the cheapest one.(proton or hyundai)

i've took the car to fiat. they do the diagnostic. they told me that something is blocking inside the air intake manifold. BUT it last for a few days only.

i've found something intersting,
the connector for the cable/wire to the engine (sorry don't know what to call them) at the top after the air intake manifold is broken.
i've cleaned them, put the insulation tape on it.
so far it work...... RPM look like stable.
is that the real cause or may be others?
should i change that connector?
