One of my students told me this morning that a tabloid newspaper, I can't remember which one, had printed a chart of the cars most likely to be stopped by the police. He said the Marea came out as #1.
I can believe it, cos I've been stopped and spot checked twice in the last 6 months, once in each of my bog standard Marea's. I've never been stopped for anything before, except double the speed limit in a Lada,(tuned 1600, big exhaust, blacked out windows) but that I can understand. Did anyone read this, or does anyone have a clue why the plod has got it in for the Marea???

Cheers

Chris

I think I can guess this one... The gentlemen in blue like to see what characters are driving around, espcially those who modify their cars. For someone to modify a Car of the Year (Bravo) by grafting a boot onto the back end of it must be someone worth having a look at!

Otherwise no idea - I'll just have to wait and see how long it is before I get that beckoning gesture from the roadside... and then I'll have to explain how I grafted a boot AND a set of windows onto the back of a Bravo!

if fiat came up with proper names for colours it mightn't hurt so much. i had a silver punto, which was steel grey metallic in the brochure. it's silver! can understand your frustration though. my brava's down as beige too, can't thing of a better description though. copper maybe?
