bulb warning light strangeness

hi all,
i own a 1998 fiat marea HLX. A couple of weeks ago the little bulb warning light came on when i switched my lights on. I have since replaced the offending bulbs (number plate bulbs) and checked all the other bulbs too, but the warning light won't go off now. Does it need to be reset or is this another fault?

Re: bulb warning light strangeness

hi there i have the same but it was due to replacing the bulbs with these fandangled led bulbs, these are a lower voltage so the fiat brain thinks there is still a bulb out even when there isn't as the voltage drawn is less.

cheers

robin

yep that would explain that, as i have fitted the same bulbs. I've been reading around and apparently you have to fit a transistor / resistor to combat it.

Correct.. that's why adding "tow-bar lights" can be tricky .. the vehicle measures the load on the electrics..,

Re: bulb warning light strangeness

don't have to worry about them now. I palmed the bulbs of to my dad and swapped the ones from his car. No more warning light.
