my jtd's battery died today i aint got the red key hope theres no probs ahead 4me..all the best on your probs btw m8..merry xmas andy

I found on my 1.4 and 1.8 Bravo the fuel pump does not obviously prime ever single time, ie when the car has been used a few minuits earlier. I dont know why it does that.

What engine do you have?

I would check battery, battery terminals, earth point, and spray some electrical contact cleaner into the main engine connector block if the pins have never had a clean.

Try holding the accelerator pedal down a bit while starting to bypass whatever Idle controll your engine has, maybe its stuck.

Look under the boot carpet for a plastic cover held on with three philips screws, you can take it off to get to the fuel pump power supply and test the pins. If you dont get power check its relay and fuse first.

Hello guys , thanks for the replies it turned out to be the fuel cut-off switch under the passengers seat!!!!! dunno why this happened my elderly neighbour suggested this and lo and behold ......... iv had no probs since and iv been away to peterborough in -7 temps !!!!!
