I have a TD100 which has done 89K and the other day while on a dual carriageway the clutch seemed to slip, i.e the engine revs increased but the the car didn't go any faster when I put my foot down in fifth gear! Very confused???:bang:

The reason i suggest the MAFsensor is because high revs for no reason(as in previous posts)
If you had a dodgy clutch it would show(slip) more in first and second gears and would be more noticeable. the only thing i can suggest is a faulty slave cylinder which could fail in any gear now and then.
If you have a continual problemit may be worth a look at this first.

Hi,hope I'm not treading on toe's but one of the first signs of worn clutch is it's more likely to start to slip in the higher gears when you accelerate quickly, they will slip in lower gears but usual through hard acceleration.
