just passed my MOT with the airbag warning light on!!!

The guy said that the airbag is nothing to do with the MOT so it doesn't matter???

Not that I'm complaining but i was expecting to have to fork out to isolate the fault but he said it was ok for the MOT... is this true or was I just really lucky (from a finances point of view... - had to have three pulleys replaced on the auxillary drive belt - plus a few other bits and pieces... ouch... :( )

[Mind you the engine runs a lot quieter now with all those squeaky bearings replaced...]

Warning lights for indicators, hazards, lights, fogs and ABS systems must work. No other warning lights are tested.

As far as I know there is no specific airbag requirement for the MOT, however, the insurance company may refuse to pay out if you knowingly drive a defective vehicle.

As pretty as the FIAT Logo is on the steering wheel, I wouldn't want it imprinted in my skull if the airbag didn't go off!

I guess I'll get it fixed (again!)
