Hello Everybody,

I need some information. So, there is a temperature meter ( sending unit ,part number :7763719 ) between the air filter and the turbo.
What is it ? What happened if this meter will be wrong ??

Thanks for all

Re: Temperature Meter

Hi

Is it a black plastic tube with a wire plugging in one side? And if you peek inside does it have a little wire loop?

If so it is an air mass meter and controls something to do with your turbo.
If it's broke then you will experience a serious loss of power.

A diagnostic workshop will tell you for definite... in Manchester there's a place that only charges a meager 30 for a diagnostic test...

You should be able to get a new air mass meter for around the 100 mark

Hope that helps...

Hello!

So, this is not an air mass meter. The air mass meter is only in the JTD engine! I have simple TD100 engine.
So, I do not understand, because if is not an air mass meter , then what it is? It is only ( I think ) ~ 15 . So, What happened when this unit will be wrong?

Thanks

Re: Temperature Meter

If it is not a mass meter then it is likely a temp sensor doing a similar job, e.g. cool air dense, etc.

If broke it will affect performance.
