Hi people, just a quick question...

In the day I can see the mileage display fine. (You know, the one which tells you how many miles you have done and the temperature if you press the thermometer button). The problem is at night. On my Marea, this digital display has no backlight and the digits are not bright enough to see at night when driving. Is this a fault or is it normal? If it's a fault how can I remedy it?

Thanks for your help

Mine works fine at night...

Incidently mine has just recently started displaying "ERROR Cli" when I start the car, but the error message disappears back to the mileage once I've started the engine.

I'm guessing it's something to do with the temp sensor as this now no longer works since I've been getting the error message (and also shows the same error message when i press the button). Also the AUTO setting on the climate control no longer works too... maybe it's all the same gizmo that's gone wrong... damned electrics!

I've just had to replace the bulb behind my odometer. Its quite straightforward if a bit of a nause to do as you have to remove the instrument cluster to get at the lamps.

Remove the steering wheel surround. Remove the fuse box cover and the screw under the instrument console trim. There are another 5 no. 10 Torq screws holding the trim in place. Drop the steering wheel to see the two bottom ones.

Then there are another 4 Torq screws holding the cluster in place. The 3 plugs are a bit fiddly but not too bad. Then its just a case of finding which bulbs have blown.

Mine goes out now and then, and i find a quick tap on the dashboard just above the display usually does the trick

Mine flicks on and off intermittantly. Is it possible this is a loose connection in the wiring to this light? I f so can I fix it myself and how would I go about this??

thanks

MK
