interior styling: so if you are like me and you like to know exactly what your
engine is doing when you are hammering up the road then gauges are a must
1 types of gauges:there are loads of gauges you can buy for your car from boost gauges(to check pressure in your turbo) to volt gauges(making sure your battery voltage is at its correct level) i find myself there are six important ones to have in a powerful car i have boost, vaccum, air fuel ratio, oil pressure and temperature and coolant temperature
2 fitting of gauges:very simple really just follow the instructions as for mounting the gauges i myself have a 155 marea the best place to mount them is two in the ash tray pull out the tray cut it up but be carful and slot in your gauges and just make a blanker for them to sit into it looks a lot cleaner as for the other three a pod on the piller is best i find
3 learning to read them:it may seem a bit scarey at first all these needles flying around and lights flashing but its not just do some research into manufacturers data and it will all become clear simple one to start with is water temperature every knows water boils at 100degrees yes so if your coolant tem gauge is reading 180degrees you are in trouble and if you have a fiat you run and get ahead gasket set so just try to under stand what type of information you want from your engine and the choice of gauge will be easy
i hope this will be of some use to people and hopefuuly help you under stand your car and what it is doing thanks for giving my thread a read
