Hi All,

I've got a knocking sound coming from the n/s suspension on my Marea. It happens pretty much alll the time but it is worse on rough roads (aren't they all these days!!).

I've jacked it up and had the front wheel off but I can't see anything obvious. I'm pretty sure it'll be the N/S Front Lower Suspension Arm or the Droplinks but has anyone got any ideas how to check these two parts for wear / play well enough to diagnose the problem ?

My Marea had the same knocking noises it turned out to be the drop links i think it only cost £40 to do the both sides.

anti roll bar my friend and in 20000 miles it will be anti roll bar again and again if you would fell up to it jack the car up both front wheels of the ground and grab the roll bar and you will be able to pull it side to side not a hard job to replace one just a lot time needed and a cool head

Bought two droplinks yesterday for just over £16 quid and although I had some problems getting the nuts off I fitted them today and the car is now spot on.

Checked the anti-roll bar for play while I was under there and that is fine. No movement at all. 132,000 on the clock and still going strong. Woohoo.
