hi could anyone tell me where to locate the fuel filter on the weekend.i cant seem to find it in the engine bay.thanks

Hi Peter, if its like the bravo and brava 1.6 then it doesnt have a fuel filter, its intergrated into the pump which is inside the tank
thanks for your quick reply it makes sense as i have looked everywhere for it and cant find it.my local parts dealer has just sold me a fuel filter do you think it is worthwile trying to fit it or is it a big job dismantling things.

It is possible for the weekend to have an in line fuel filter fitted under the floor near the tank. I bought one for mine for the first service and eventually confirmed that it does not have one fitted. It's never had a problem in the fuel area so maybe it has the integral one. I would just take the filter back and get a refund.

thanks for that i will take it back.only bought it cos i thought it may help my lousy fuel economy

Odd that it's not giving good economy, our 1.8 Weekend has always been outstanding for a petrol fuel car with so much room in it, one of the reasons it's still around 7 years after we got it. 35 around town and easily 40+ on a run. I imagine you have changed the air filter perhaps a can of injector cleaner would be worth a try. Also, have you got a lot of clutter in the car adding to the weight you are carrying about, or a roof rack on it<PS Our son in law had a 1.6 for a couple of years which they got becuase they liked ours, and the price you can get them for. It gave pretty similar MPG results to ours and one reason they got it was to lug stuff like roof tiles around while the were renovating a victorian house.
