Hi
My wife has a ´99 Marea 1.6 Weekend which has served us well for two years, until now. At idle, rpm has never been really 100% stable, but several people have told me that this is quite common for Fiat.
Then it went from ok to really bad; the engine tends to stall at low speeds and the fuel consumption is very high. Rpm at idle is sometimes very rough, goes up and down.
I´ve understood that the idle control actuator might need to be cleaned. I haven´t spent too many hours working on cars in my life, especially not on Fiats. Does anyone know of any instructions with pictures describing this procedure on the internet?
I also keep reading about the "butterfly" - what part is this?
Thank you very much in advance
Cheers
Michael
