hi to all
this is my first post on the forum so here goes!!

im the owner of a 51plate marea sx with a flashing engine management light, ive taken this to a main dealer to put on the diagnostic machine and found that its a fuel injector number 3 problem, my first q is are these easy to remove by a non mechanically minded person would the cleaning of the afore mentioned injector cure the prob or do i need to fork out and buy a new injector and pay to have the pleasure of a garage fitting this......

Now ive got that out the way, i didnt realise that there were that many mareas out there as around this way they are like the preverbial hens tooth:D

looking forward to suggestions and ideas on my prob.

ps does anyone else get annoyed by the sunvisors on mareas???

Simplicity to remove - disconnect the lead by pulling off the retaining clip then it merely pulls out

i assume this is a 1.6 model. you need to remove the upper inlet manifold and the fuel rail to get the injectors out but its easy enough. there are detaield instructions in the bravo/brava section if you do a search.

are you sure you're talking about an injector? they are not that easy to remove.

Yes - remove the rail (2 bolts), pull off the metal retaining clip, pull off cable pull out injector
