Air bag light

I know there is a thread on here about this but I cant find it, So.

I finished wiring up the towing electrics (both 12N and 12S) today and while I was at it I replaced the illumination bulb for the mileage display, Everything is fine except the airbag light is now on

I have tried disconnecting the wiring for the split charge relay that I added ( part of the 12S kit) but this made no difference. I did loosen the small electrical contacts on the battery positive and negative to add additional connectors, could this have caused it? What are the main things to cause the warning light to come on? Dose this mean a trip the the auto electrician

Re: Air bag light

to switch the light off your aibag ecu needs to be reset using a fiat examiner (65 usually)

the light comes on if the battery is connected and ignition is switched on when a component in the airnag circuit is disconnected. the airbag system is so sensitive that it can also be triggerted when a fuse pops, or when sparking occurs when refitting battery terminals, or if you cause a short or sparking when playing with the electrics. its a very common problem.
