Just lost the odometer light, you can see the counter during the day and it's still slowly ticking up...

Is it a straight bulb change or a new counter??

Cheers for your help

Tim

good news, it is a bayonet fit bulb, bad news it's instrument panel out. You have to get one of the screws from inside the fuse cover after taking off both halves of the steering column shroud. there are 3 upper an 2 lower screws as well. I have never done this, this is from Haynes manual and it looks a bit fiddly:cry:

ive done this annoying job its gets esier evry time you do it lol any car spares will have the bulbs buy about 10 of them they only cost 50p each and change them all whilstyou have the speedo binicle out its a bit fiddly but take your time and dont loose any of the small hex screws like i did good luck with it (y)

Completed over the weekend, all working thanks for your help in getting this sorted.

The Wife was worried when I walked in and handed her the steering wheel!:D

I would have been worried too. Those airbags ARE scary.

Fitted standard bulbs?
Not LED's? They tell me they will last longer... if one bulb goes out, perhaps the others are on the way...?

You saying my wifes airbags are scary?:D

Anyhow fitted standard bulbs all back to normal, it's now in the garage for it's MOT and new bushes etc...
