I have just purchased 1 ECU, all door locks, boot Lock, a key code reader? and ignition key and switch. all are second hand and came from the same car.

I am happy with fitting all, except the ignition switch. The part sent is the bit that fits inside the plastic housing.

The problem with the car is proberbly the key code unit or ECU. so can I change just these parts and use my original key and barell

Car is old P reg marea weekend which I love

Thanks Hellcat never thought of that!

next problem how do I get to the Card reader

card reader? dont you mean code reader, thats the aerial around the ignition switch.

or do you mean the code box, thats in the same area as the fusebox (in front of driver's right knee). the codebox is a black thing, if you have one to fit at least you'll know exactly what to look for.

if you swap your ecu and codebox and key chips over it should work, unless the problem is a wiring fault, which is commonly the cause of immob failures.

The problem with changing the transponder over is that it is buried in the key head and you have to cut head up to get it out.
Its easy to remove the ign lock:-
Undo bottom surround from steering column.
Put key in lock and turn to ignition on.
Locate the pawl through aperture in plastic housing and press in.
Pull out on key and/or lever switch out with screwdriver.
