Technical Can i swap a marea 147bhp engine with a 155 one ?

Hi guy's.

An odd Question this, my Marea is the 2.0 20v 147 model, but is it possible to put in a marea 155bhp engine the "vis" model ?

I'm asking because I have been told that a scrappy near me may have one going. (only the engine left) apparently it was a Bravo 2.0 20v 147 model. And it was a much lower mileage than mine.

Any thoughts ?

well yes you could but i do not know how much would need to be replaced, engine loom, ecu, clocks, but i dont know where it stops....

dont go for the 155 as the engine bay is full of plastic :yuck:

why? wouldn't think it would be worth it unless your engine is on its way out

The general reason why i'm thinking of changing engine is because i have the feeling that the bottom end is starting to knock slightly.

So if I manage to find this 155bhp one out of this bravo, is is as simple as kust swapping engine's or is it more complicated such as swapping engine parts aswell ?

Well I think the 155 has a fly by wire type throttle. So you would need to change all that unless it can be modified at the engin side.
