Dear friends,

I have been a FIAT owner for over 10 years now (Palio --> Punto --> Linea) and have ben a 'silent watcher' of this lovely forum. My cars have been mostly trouble-free and I have been a happy camper. But my 2010 Linea 1.3 MJD has recently been having a persistent snag.

This all started when I left town for a month. After coming back, the airbag lights started flashing and I thought obviously this is the battery. Als, I was mistaken.

Two months, a new battery and starter-motor, and many, many trips to FASS later, I have finally traced the problem to the instrument panel. I am getting the B1001: W. Lamp Faulty error. The FASS tried a new instrument panel and the error as well as the airbag failure warnings disappeared. But the instrument panel costs a bomb.

Is there any way at all that we can get rid of this error? The airbag modules and all other modules show no errors. Just the intrument panel. The entire wiring of the car has been checked (by painfully dismantling the dashboard, doors etc).

Help, please. Scanner screenshot here: https://ibb.co/cAXE0b

Thanks in advance!

Oh well. Yes, that is an option. But I want to understand what caused this and if there is a way to fix this since this looks like a software issue. Thanks a bunch!
