My beloved ['Cara Mia' in Italian!] Fiat Linea 1.4 l petrol Emotion Pack [Fox Trot Azure] was delivered to me by Concorde Motors India Limited, Hosur Road, Bangalore, India, on 8 October 2009 evening.

  • At the time of booking, we indicated Medium Grey colour. But, when the sales executive informed me of VIN, which had the code of EPZ, indicating May 2009, I rejected it. Since my wife also disliked that colour and preferred Fox Trot Azure [FTA], we selected FTA. The only vehicle in FTA in that lot had VIN code of JPZ, indicating September 2009, so I grabbed it.
  • The tyres have September 2009 markings, so do the headlamp assemblies. The music system is of Blaupunkt brand. I got desmodronic foldable key with remote control [with electronic and mechanical codes] plus one duplicate manual key. I have also got extended warranty for 2+2 years.
  • The car is excellent. The ride and handling qualities are superb. I am getting familiarized with all the features. I have already paired my O2 Xda II mini Pocket PC paired with Blue&Me. Now, I receive all the calls and could make calls using steering controls of Blue&Me. However, still it does not obey my voice commands!
  • Here are some pictures of my Fiat Linea:

Thanks a lot, ohhuzoor, for your wishes. I have been parking my car with its one side close to the garage wall to accommodate two 2-wheelers. I have been following this practice since 1992 without any damages either to the car or to the wall!:D

I will post a picture of the ignition console soon, as desired.

i am waiting for pic

Here are the pictures of ignition console of my Fiat Linea of JPZ code [Sep 09 make]. Please compare the gaps and let me know what you feel about them, viz., whether they are the same, increased or decreased!

Theres No difference in this part but have a look at the photograph below
Some fool in the TASS inserted a screw driver there and damaged my dashboard.
Mailed FIAT about it and after 2 days I was asked to get it checked at the TASS.
I went there and the Service advisor said it's OK sir and after listening to this I blasted over him then he went inside and called his manager and the manager said we will get your car checked by FIAt engg. on 13 oct. and on 13 I got a call from TASS that the Engg. were in a hurry they will check my car some other day.
But the gar is great it turn's every body head. At signals I am asked which car is this , what's the price, what's the mileage, how's the serivce etc etc. Even a audi owner asked me this so it tells how beautiful this car is and when I told him the price his mouth was left opened for a second. He just couldn't believe that it is only 8.39 lacs. ex showroom

I have some bulges on my bonnet same as some other member in team-bhp is facing. But i can't get my membership approved there tried 3 times.

Mine is a GPZ manufactured meaning July 09
Except these problem the car is brilliant.

Its giving me a mileage of about 22Km/l on highway and 15-16 in city

Will post some photographs as soon as I recieve my camera from the sony's serivce station.
Be careful with ambipur car perfumes they damaged my button silver color. My Dad put the perfume upside down all the perfume dripped over the button. Will get it changed at next service.

I appointed my dog as my driver. Shes likes linea so much doesn't want to get out of the car. She justs sit in front of rear seat AC vent and sleeps.

Sorry to hear that, ohhuzoor. But, I am sure Fiat would set right the damage caused. Ditto for bonnet bulges. Many people got their bonnet bulge, driver seat height adjustment mechanism, chrome strip falling from rear quarter glass, etc., set right by Fiat. While closing the bonnet, let it drop from a height of 20 cm from the engine compartment, as advised in the owner's handbook [page 69].

Thanks a lot for cautioning me about ambipur perfumes, which is noted.

Your dog is a blessed soul, enjoying the comforts of Fiat Linea as its bedroom.;)

I think you do not have to regret about not getting membership in that automobile portal since the moderator is highly prejudiced against Fiat Linea/Punto, in my opinion. I requested the moderator to close a thread of the same title started by me in protest against deletion of my post containing comparision of Fiat Linea's features vis-a-vis a newly launched car in India. I have decided to stay away from that portal (n).

I came to know about another novel feature in Fiat Linea from another forum and I successfully tried it just now: If I want to switch on parking lamps only on one side, i.e., either right or left when the car is parked, after switching off the engine, operate the direction indicator stalk to the desired side, and then, turn on the parking lamp. Wow! Parking lamps only on the desired side are lit up both in front and rear! As usual, this feature is also not mentioned anywhere in the owner's handbook. It goes without saying that the sales executives at the dealerships are not even aware of this novel feature.

I took this snap during my recent Mysore trip on Chamundi Hills. Seen in the background is famous Lalit Mahal Palace [turned into a star hotel now].

this is just a brilliant feature
I don't think any other car have this kind of feature
Kudos to Fiat

I got a call for FIAT dealer to come and get replace clutch slave cylinder
After replacing this my clutch has become super smooth and i can shift gear only with one finger
Super smooth clutch and gear shifting of my linea have now become even more smoother

Kindly ask your service advisor to check if your car needs a Clutch Slave Cylinder replacement. They have a list of vehicles which needed to get it changed.
My car have done above 6000 Km's and is becoming better and better with miles.

Thanks, ohhusoor. I already did. My Fiat Linea does not require CSC replacement as it is already fitted with a modified CSC.

My cute little Fiat Linea!

Today, I got my Fiat Linea Jr.[1:43 Norev], delivered at my home from Italy! On 20 April 2010, I paid to Carmodel.net, Italy, Euros 44.14 [including Euros 18 for shipping] using my PayPal account. Within two weeks, I got my micro Fiat Linea delivered at my home! I am very happy to get the micro Fiat Linea in FTA, the same colour of my macro Fiat Linea. Nice, cute, little super model from Norev. Here are some photographs.

I read somewhere that Norev has been named after its owner's wife, Veron, spelt backwards! This cute model is designed in France, made in China, shipped from Italy and delivered to India!
