ive looked at the link, i thought that it might be abit of a heap if i could pick this up for say £700 then spend say £400 on it do you think it would be worth it or could there be some major unexpected
problem!!

i don't think you would get it for £700 it reached £760 last time and was not sold. generaly boys who put stickers on thier cars thrash the balls of them. but i couldn't say if its a heap or not just by a photo, if you do go for it go and have a good look first check any history and bills the guy has, check the oil if its black the car has not been cared for.

As Dave said, only ever buy such a car through taking a look at it. White is never the best colour because the big brown rust marks will be more obvious!

something to add to previous comments, the top row of stickers on the back were all given away free with one of the "boy racer" mags

Ghost's point is important to add, a car run on the cheap?

Basically mich that is against ebay rules and once you bid and win, you are obliged to pay. You could contact the seller and see how they would feel about such a deal and offer to pay £x whatever happens to cover his time and fees if you don't want it. Depending on the guy he might not like this idea however because it is confusing. Typically, you're bidding to buy ONLY and needed to have visited it earlier.

He could take you to court and reclaim money etc. or get violent if you try to run without buying. It's a very dodgy subject and most car sellers add: "You're bidding to buy, once you win the auction you will be paying. If you want to see the car, come ASAP" type thing.

I would probably steer clear of this particular car but then again it might be a hidden jem..!

if somebody bid on a car you were selling, and then decided they didnt want it would **** you of wouldnt it?if you cant go too see it then decide if your happy to take the risk or(as i would do) keep your money in your pocket and wait for a good un.in the end its your cash but i wouldnt condone bidding without full intention to buy

just noticed its got no reserve this time so you might get it for £700, if you bid and win then its yours just like any other auction, if you went to a car auction and bid but did not give a deposit on the fall of the hammer you would get kicked out.
You could buy it and if you don't like it put it back on ebay without the stickers you may get more for it than you payed.

Phone the guy and have a good chat, it's the only way you will understand what you need to know and see what kind of person you could be dealing with...

What did he seem like? Major point. How many owners? I would be worried about why a respray? What method was used to prevent rusting before the respray etc.

HPi check probably pointless, old car, no HP on it, and if it has had a crash in the past it won't be a massive surprise, it's an E-reg with a lot of past. The interior looks suprrisingly good for an E-reg with 110k miles.

I don't think many want to say much about the car in terms of opinions because none of us know more than you about it except what has been said and don't want to tell you something incorrectly..

And he paid exactly what we wanted to for it! Hope it all goes well. I think you have a lot of potential for the money.
