A couple of Saturdays ago I was driving home from my dads when i went round a corner and there was a bus overtaking parked cars so i slammed on and went into him.
The git of a bus driver used my inexperience to make me think it was my fault, not too impressed!
So explained it all to my mum when she got back and turns out not my fault, told insurance company they gonna try n fight the bus company for me now.
anyway moving on, so i took it to my mechanic to have the steering looked at, bloody things wrote off. Not best impressed!!
My little silver cinq, my first car, sure it only cost me 350 quid but she was ace.
Anyway just been checking insurance on the internet with norwich union (my current insurer) and my claim if i lose will barerly do anything to the cost of my insurance so im well chuffed, i could even afford to get a sporting!!!
dunno tho, the garage got a 400 quid cinq comming in which i might get but if i dont like it im gonna wait n get a sporting.

Dunno why the hell i wrote this, suppose its coz im pissed at the bus, upset bout my car but yet happy that i could afford to insure a sporting. confusion!

oh well enjoy. haha. and was only like a week after my car got broken into and my 6x9's stolen, bastards!

I need some Cinq sun visors, if anyone has any please e-mail me or PM me!

That's a real sh1tter !!!! :( At least you were ok though, cars CAN be replaced....people can't !! My first car was written off too (many moons ago!!!!) and that wasn't my fault either. Hope you get things sorted soon. :D

When I bumped my Saxo (it was 6 days old:() The guy who hit me used my inexperience at the time to con me into accepting liability, looking back I want to give him a slap - my excess was £400[xx(]

Bummer mate, hope it works out for you;)

A girl in my school past last friday, drove to school in her mum's car 2 hours after, took her friends to McDonalds at lunch (a kind of tradition for newly passed drivers). Took a right turn, bam into the side of her car at 30, written off. I wonder if her insurance will pay out (doubt she told them that she had passed as her parents were on holiday for 3 weeks) and it sounds like her fault. However, I can't say for certain as I wasn't there etc. but by what I have heard it was her fault.

Bad luck about your car, I have my fingers crossed I will make it to October without a crash. Same thing happened to me as you but with a 4x4, within millimetres. The woman on her school run then proceeded to force me backwards by vigourous waving of her hands and toots from her horn despite being on my side of the road. I face it everyday on the same turn with buses which can't help but cut the corner wiping you out if you happen to try and drive around the corner at the same time. Trouble is, not all roads were built with buses in mind.

Thats just plain unlucky....

Buses are like taxis, white vans, caravan pullers and old farts...should not be alloweed on the road unless between the hours of 22:00 and 07:00.

Those without cars will walk!! Or get the train, buses can f- off!!

I am sorry martcinq :(

Steve, I am not a hugely confident person face to face and don't often speak my mind to strangers (my previous comfrontations with idiots were very out of character!).

Trouble is, a Uno 3 dr Vs. A huge shogun isn't fair odds! I sat there for a little while inching forwards but she refused to even look backwards! I sat there waving my hands for her to get out of the way so she just did the general tooting business obviously saying "If i toot my horn long enough, the guy will back off". Eventually I had to :(

I don't believe lorries should be allowed on the roads unless they have a specific permit and can't be put on the road at night. E.g. I can understand why a fairly small company needs deliveries during the day when there can be people at the shop/warehouse to collect but I reckon (obviously knowing NOTHING about the actual figures etc.) that a lot could be moved to night times. I reckon that between the times of 8 and 9 and then 3 and 4, no cars other than M-reg Unos should be allowed to drive ;) Buses I have to accept are necessary and without, assuming more bought cars, we would have gridlock!

OOOOOOOOOoooohhhhhhh Mart I'm sorry to hear about your poor wee Cinq. At least you're ok though, that's the important bit.

As for the bus companies that send their buses down totally inappropriate roads well they just don't think of the poor drivers who have to struggle down them and the other drivers who provide yet more obstacles for the bus to get around.
