Posts: 2 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 | Airbag warning lights Hi All, My first post. I arrived at your forum after i did a quick Google search regarding airbag warning lights on fiat Punto's. My Fiat Punto 02 model has a airbag warning light that stays on and it seems from various forums that this is an inherent problem and can be a pain in the butt to fix. I called a main dealer with this issue and was told that it would need a diagnostic check £££ but he said the airbag will still work under crash conditions even with the warning light on. He explained that the deployment of the airbag is a mechanical operation as well as a electrical operation. Can someone confirm this to be correct? So if the electronic sensors of the airbags are buggered the mechanical activation will still work in crash? Any advice, much appreciated Erasmo
