Is it just nottingham or are other cities the same, i.e no dealers at all, im told all the Notts dealers have gone, there was one pretty local in mansfield but thats just shut :( , how you supposed to get them fixed

Theres little money in selling, warranty work & servicing Fiats, big bucks to be made from other car companies.

Add this to the 'poor image' given to Fiat by the public, constant complaining by the public of dealers then its little wonder why! Only the 'big' dealerships can afford to run them but normally with another make like Kia,Hyundai etc

yeh, i understand all that, but there isnt a dealer near me  , well except derby but that has probably closed too, i dnot mind getting it serviced at a non Fiat approved garage, but if i want warranty work doing its going to be a major pain.

Hi it doen't have to be a fiat main dealer to do warranty work, even tho they make you think that, and im sure its illegal for them to say only they can do it. I work for an independant bmw garage (panel beater/painter) and we do loads of warranty work, but it takes time to get paid off them, find a trusted independant near you good luck Ant!

I would rather my warranty work was carried out by Fiat trained technicians not technicians trained to other makes of cars therefore unaware of common issues/faults.Add this to the fact other garages wont have the correct diagnostic equipment, bodywork is a different issue.

yeh, i would rather use a Fiat dealer if i can, its just a matter of finding one i guess

What all 7 within 45 mile radius of you

Tbh i never expected a trip of 100 miles to have my car serviced or repaired so i never checked as far away as lincoln etc !!!, that is truely shocking

ps, on another note can you get parts as you work for a dealer ?, do they send stuff out from you parts dept ?

Ted Johnson in Barnsley S Yorks are good. BRAND NEW Fiat dealers ship, just changed from Honda and Seat. Have not used them yet have they have just become Fiat, but nobody has anything but good thigs to say about this guy, they are independant too.

Go to jcs in kegworth, there a good fiat dealer, should'nt be that far from you.

Most definately, they were a Fiat franchise until 10 -11 years ago but then lost the franchise, however, they are a Fiat approved service centre so can carry out all warrenty work on behalf of Fiat. I understand that Fiat want them to be a sales franchise again but don't believe the owner wants it because of the cost incurred. Think his name his Ken Smith and the business was set up by his father - hence JCS (initials)
