I am picking up my new Stilo on Saturday, the dealer asked for the insurance certificate 'a few days' before Saturday. It arrived today with the wrong Reg on it! So they are issuing me another 1st class tomorrow.

Does the dealer need this just to register & tax car, does he do both locally? Do you think all will be OK if he has it by say Thursday morning?

Should be fine, they'll only tax it at a post office anyway.

Bought a Micra (sorry) once, took me a week to suss they had put the wrong reg number on the car!

If it's a new Fiat they'll (should) licence it at the dealer through the computer system they have. As long as it reaches by Thursday you should be ok.
