thats nutts!!!

the grande punto is no great feate of engineering,
no great natural wonder
never ruled an empire
never conquered a mountain pass never mind the small car market
failed to find another universe in the back of its local dealership (although I sometimes wonder)
didn't break any records for ANYTHING!!
etc etc

so why the hell does it deserve to be on a stamp???

If you look its not on the stamp, its a label next to the stamp.

They are only available in sheets of 20 from Fiat dealers. Its a limited run of 6000 sheets only, ordered by Fiat from Royal Mail.

although if you send a picture of anything to royal mail you can get it ordered like the one above, with the hello on the right.

almost every car was the best selling car in europe at some point, thats why they stagger the release dates.

its on a stamp because fiat paid for it, if i wanted my hairy arse on a stamp i could pay for it. but whats the point? does the stamp suddently make a GP better? to me it says fiat UK were desperately trying to find a way to spend the remainder of the GP promotional budget just to make sure fiat spa will give them as much on the next product launch, they definately didnt consider the return on investment they'll get. i can safely say the stamp promotion will not sell a single GP, not one, ever.

and if there's 6000 sheets of 20 stamps they wont be worth more than the purchase price in my lifetime.
