Why be so anti Fiat employees? They are no worse / better than any other makes. Why do all people instantly have a pop at them when your car breaks? If your parts took a long time to get to you, thats not generally the dealers fault either. When parts go on worldwide backorder - like some of mine have done then there aint a lot your dealer can do about it.
So give them a break, they are not all bad.

My Fiat dealer usually give me free tips, and is very helpful. They don't sell me parts either. They think they are to expensive for my Uno. But they tell me what's wrong, what parts I need and where to get them elsewhere. Any better?

Babysei, wish my dealer was like that....................Alfanige, come and use my local dealer, then we'll talk!

I agree with Alfanige.

I'm waiting on 2 door cards that Reg Vardy Fiat ruined cleaning the glue off the inner door handles, they phoned me said they had one but the other was on backorder. The chap very helpfully explained to me what 'on backorder' meant and that the door card will probably be coming from Italy as there weren't any in the country.

I think people see it as Parts Staff's fault as they are the one's on the front line, face to face with the customer, the customer has no-one else to take it out on so explodes at the staff, shame really because if they stopped to think about what happens 'backstage' they wouldn't get so irate.

Nissan are as bad, if not worse and the company is even worse! I had to write to the managing director as dealers, customer care never bothered! At least Fiat customer care do take action.

Went to Benfield in Newcastle, with the intention of buying a car there and then, but the muppet couldn't be bothered to talk to me, he said I'd need to come back when they weren't so busy.

All he was busy doing was chatting up the girl on the parts desk, I was the ONLY ONE in the showroom. What a dick[:(!]

If I worked for Fiat, I'd make it my business to be on sites like this all the time, then again I'm actually interested in cars!

Many of the salesmen (not just Fiat) I have dealt with in the past just seem totally uninterested in their product, I often feel like Iam selling to them:(

You're not wrong there James.

I think if FIAT were interested, they'd have someone monitoring this site and feeding back peoples problems and issues, so that they could improve their profile in the UK market and in the public eye!

They are too damn complacent for that though, they simply don't care.

The guy that sold me the Panda was ace, very enthusiatic about the car etc. I have in the past been into 3 Ford dealers, now they arent interested at all. I think its dealers in general, good and bad are everywhee!

Well this forum would give them a chance to get on here and tell everyone what they think![:(!]

Maybe they have a 'mole';)

Who could it be...

TBH, when I was recently looking for my new car the only person who came across as being generally interested in their product was an Alfa dealer:D

Tho the renualt and Ford garages both had very nice, friendly sales people, they weren't that clued up.

The guy at Benfield was just unbelievably bad tho:(

Alfa people have to be nice as firstly they are supposed to be a prestige marque and secondly, again, people think they are rust buckets!

Easy cars to be interested in too!

But than again, so are Fiat's, not like boring run of the mill fords and vauxhall's, emphasis on VAUXHALL'S, the Corsa courtesy car I recently had was faultless, but so, so dull:(
