Sales Executive From Gainmanor here.

Have been selling Fiats for 2 years now, and know more than anyone about them.

Coincidently I'm Top Salesman.

Hello Top Salesman :)

Hopefully you can be the answer to all our problems - every FIAT salesman I have dealt with has been rubbish, and has no idea of the product they are selling.

ah cool tell us why there no insides to the lights on the boot of new puntos?
why does the new satnav disk for my punto send me off on very long detours?
why do fiat airbag lights keep coming on for no reason then dealers charge us to turn them off?
why cant you give free quotes for repairs insteads of charging us to go on diag machine?

Why did my FIAT dealer not realise that a PAYG o2 sim card does not work in the Ulysse Nav+ for Connect purposes?

Why has my FIAT dealership stopped selling 4th and 5th year warranties with their cars, even though at the time I was told I could buy that at a later date?

Why does my brake light keep getting stuck on in my selespeed Stilo Abarth 02 plate?

why does it take fiat in wolverhampton over 3 weeks to get my part in for my seicento.. and im still wating.... ? :(

ive had quicker service off ebay (for genuine fiat parts) than my dealer...

i could have gome to turin and got one myself quicker...

oh and .. :woot: this is my old thread! yay

Have you had a new switch fitted, and if so it probably wasn't set up properly.

I actually fitted a new switch under warranty on MY Abarth the other week, due to sticking on, works sweet now i've set it up right on the new switch.

Thanks for that!

It is due back in, yet again, to the dealership, having been fixed once. I told them originally it was the switch, BUT they decided to replace all the linkages instead

Really annoying, just get used now to lifting up brake pedal with left foot to turn off brake lights if someone close behind me.....

I haven't come across a salesman who actually knows anything about the models they're selling. They have'nt even read the brochures!

Ask a dealer the difference between a Stilo Active & Dynamic and in my experience 90% would fail to list 5 differences!

You should have seen them with the Ulysse - I remember the test drive, the guy had no idea whatsoever; and when it came to ordering it, aargh. At least I managed to get the discount from a derisory £1200 to £3500 BUT only when I threatened to order the car elsewhere.

Its so annoying trying to give good service, no pun, when 9/10 dealers truly dont give a f##k about 'Fiat' customers or their cars/problems- rant over.

Anyways, all they have to do with the switch is pull the stop out all the way and let the brake pedal up, it will adjust so far- then and this is the most important part EVER...

put a 1mm feeler blade between the pedal stop and the switch plunger and that will set the switch up properly.

Awwww give the poor guy a bit of room to breathe or he won't come back for fear of getting mobbed. Fiat dealers here are not my best friends but I am sure as Top Salesperson you do a lot better :)

I had some really good questions lined up :D

'In which year did Giovanni Agnelli become the managing director of fiat?, and what was his previous job role?'

....but i decided against :p

Could Stu do this himself?

Would avoid time and hassle and at least he'd know it was right.

Surely you could so that eh Stu?
