Group Buy on Angel Tuning remaps

I'm very interested. My Bravo has just turned 5 years old, so i was after getting it done before it became to old. Where would the location be?

I'd like a cinquecento remap for my coop, giving it diminutive proportions and boxy shape :slayer: Did anyone read the cinqy get a mention in the telegraph motoring section in James may's column?

Keep me posted then for one. Angel seem to be fairly central on a countrywide basis by being in Leamington Spa no ?

We are across the UK - not just in Leamington Spa! Leam is just the central admin office, from where correspondence gets distributed.
I live near Exeter :-D

i know it aint  would that be with other extras such as the CDA and maybe a supersprint exhaust perhaps, i would like just a bit more grunt to it

Im sorry, more looking after? dont want it to go more off topic, when would people be looking at getting this done then?

I personally am waiting until Angel have sorted out the new board to remap grange punto 1.9jtd via diagnostic port. Although I have had upsolute and Van Aaken chip my old golfs via ecu removal and soldering, I would much prefer the non hardware upgrade.

Should only be a few weeks until a solution is available.

Maybe all interested people should now start posting where they are from. We can then maybe split into local groups if we get enough in each area. just a suggestion.

I'll go first.

please add your name too the list, and where you are based.

Sounds like there should be a fair few (y) i might have a prob though, as i need a new gear box, i should have it done asap but am i right in thinking i need it doing before the remap, i dont mean in terms of feeling the difference but in terms of the remap would be affected if the gearbox was changed afterwards

I don't see why a change of hardware(gearbox) would effect the mapping on your car. Just more power putting more stress on the gearbox would be your only lookout.

I could be wrong though. I once had a mini one remapped to give an extra 30hp, and was told by the tuner that bmw reguarly update the ecu during maintainence, putting the car back to their map spec.

Don't know about Fiat though.

The Issue of the dealer rewriting the mapping on the ECU has been known to happen it did so recently with Bozzy and his stilo JTD when his dealer recalled his car for ECU updates his remap was whiped off and Angel tuning had to put it back on for him :)

Tis true, it's a risk you need to consider. Just got off the plane having been in Spain for a fortnight and the only thing keeping me sane before going back to work tomorrow is my JTD.
