I need a bloke's opinion.

In the opinion of you lovely gents here, is it acceptable to have certain bits of your car painted pink? I'm not talking the whole car, but just the rear lights/ repeaters, (new sprayable) handles and bump strips. Just to give it that girly look - the rest of it is silver. Or would it be just too naff? Thoughts please!

If you do it keep all the old bits to put back on when you sell the car, because not everyone is going to like it.
A local boyracer shop had reduced box the other day there was loads of pink side repeaters in there, i thought who would want them, now i know, you!

No, no, no, no, NO!

Having "bits" of a car sprayed pink is even worse than spraying the whole thing pink. Have you ever seen the "boy racer" skips (usually an old Fiesta/Nova/AX/Metro etc) with coloured detailing? Lots of them have blue taillights/mirrors/repeaters etc on white/red/brown cars and it always looks crap. Imagine the same thing but with pink on silver...[xx(]
Go with clear taillights and repeaters, as these improve the looks of any car, and if they aren't already colour-coded then you could spray door handle & bump-strips in the same silver as your car's paintwork [8D]

Hmmm, when the one guy that thinks it's a good idea drives a yellow car...... ;)

I'll rethink that one then. Plan B is a very dark blue or haematite kinda colour. Which I suppose is a little less obvious and matches with the silver.

Go ahead. But do something that covers the bumb strips, such as vinyl as Donz says. Use a heatergun or whatever to make it fit (get someone to do it). Spraying them pink will be a disaster after opening the door into other cars enough times.

That's a nice idea Donz - I was thinking of the simple option, but you're right, a bit more knowhow and cash and it could look....interesting. Thanks :I

Noooooooooooooo, not the whole car. I'd look like a big pink......thing driving down the road. It's just that everyone else goes for silver or blue, I wanted to be different, but not so different it'll look stoopid.
