Hi for everyone.. :D

Can anyone tell me how does the carburateur of this engine works?
My dad told me the it is a "double carburateur", and that one intake remains closed till a certain RPM (?) is reached, then it gets open together with the other..

I would like to know the correct procedure of this engine.

I hope i made my self clear on the explanation.. (sorry for the bad english)

the 1116 cc 128 type engine has either a single choke or a double choke carb on it. if its a double choke, then its either a weber or a solex.
these carbs are called "progressive carbs" in the fact as you open the throttle plate, the second choke of the carb is allowed to open. this is done at approx 3/4 throttle and gives the car good acceleration. it also allows you to run on one choke for economy too. on the weber, it is usually done mechanically by a crank lever attached to the throttle. on the solex, these are usually done using a vacuum diaphram which once it knows the throttle is open at a fixed point and the diaphram has felt the vacuum from the engine, it opens the second choke. this system is fraught with problems as you rely on the vacuum and diaphram. the mechanical version is much more reliable and i always say to people, if you have a solex, swap it for a good scrappy weber version.(y) :)

Very good explanation! :D Thanks a lot! (y)

My carb is a Weber.. :p
