what engine would be in a punto active. its a 53 reg i think.

the reason am asking is everytime i used to drive home from work a young lady would always speed off and race down the road. so one time i decided to teach her a lesson in the bravo.

all i really want to know is what engine is in it and what bhp does it have.

i would rather drive slow and cautiously and be allowed to have fun on the track than fast and dangerously, endangering my life and joe publics life. am sure any law abiding driver on here one hundred percent agrees with me. so therefore the way i drive on the track is legal as well as on the road. the limits are there to protect your life and the lives off others.

:chin: The word hypocrite springs to mind

hey for months she has been going on about how slow i drive and winding me up so i thought lets show her how i can drive when i want to drive quick.

most of the time i drive slowly

like me dad...i can drive quick when i want too....

yer but you had a right go at me and gave a big speech about how careful driver and how safe you drive, when youve just obviously shown that the speech you made was a load of crap.

Or are you saying that big speech doesnt apply in certain situations :chin::rolleyes:

only after months and months of her going on about my driving did i decide to do this. and i felt bad afterwards. but when some one constantly winds ya up you just feel like lets show em just this one time what my car is capable of.

i still stand at me saying i drive careful and slow most of the time but to put that correct i would say maybe 95% of the time do i drive like a "grand mother" as you put it. so am sorry for the go at you the other day. you and tom just round my up thats all.

back to the punto...has any one got the specs of it. and what do you guys no about it...well that particular model

have you searched the punto section

had a brief look. can't seem to find any posts that stand out at first glance.

is the active engine a FIRE engine. also apple what does this FIRE thing mean.

Both the Active and Active sport have the 8v FIRE, all the AS is is an Active with a sporting kit on. So that would be 60bhp, and 75lb/ft of torque. 0-60 in 14.3 seconds and a top end of 96mph (y) Feel the power! :D

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fully_Integrated_Robotised_Engine (y) What isn't mentioned there is that the 8v FIRE engines are safe engines, as in if the cambelt snaps, it doesn't bend valves and stuff. Just stick a new one on and your off :p

It's in use in the Stilo too, I read somwhere it didn't meet new emissions regulations (I could be wrong), which would explain why there's a new design of engine in the GP.
