i just been checking out the specs for a ford street ka. and am not that impressed. considering its got a 1.6 litre engine in it. it seems slow.

heres the specs have a look for ya self

The 94bhp 1.6-litre unit offers pleasing, even if it’s not quite blistering performance. It gets to 60mph in 11.7 seconds and has a top speed of 107mph, with more than adequate mid-range power. It's a significant improvement over the 1.3 unit fitted to standard Ka hatchbacks, fast enough for such a little convertible, and perfect for cruising.

the above taken from parkers website.

seems a bit poor to me. i would go as far to say that a finally tuned bravo 80 would beat it and loads of cinqs on here would anhiliate it. what you guys think.

but they not quick though are they. i mean for a 1.6 car. whats the 1.6 bravo pumping out erm....110bhp or something

But its a Ka. Which automatically brackets it with Centos, Micras, Fiestas etc in that it means its small, cute and girly.

Adding a soft top doesnt help either!

My mum's got a Ka 1.3

It's weighs about as much as a packet of rolos so it's pretty nippy. Will go fast enough on a motorway to have your licence taken off you..

But its a Ford. It feels like its made from tin foil and there is more external paint colour inside than out. You can touch the rear screen from the drivers seat and the boot is big enough for a whole packet of corn flakes.

am not a ford expert at all. just looking into them thats all.

i'd prefer a ford capri mm mmmmmm

i got to admit though that for the amount ya spend to buy a streetka or a smartcar roadster. i would sack it and buy meself a grande punto 1.9 and have a bit of money left over for some after market modifications.

i believe a person would be happier with the performance then. and also the aesthetics of the car.

right decision. am only messing i got some what of an afinity for fiats now. its in me blood.
