but remember smart roadsters have a 0.8 turbo engine compared to a 1.6 IIRC and certainly weigh a lot less than a street ka

I'd agree with that. The target market doesn't care if it's 11 seconds or 10 seconds to 60. They don't care about top speed. They care if it looks cute, and how much shopping goes in the boot.

its still quicker than the street ka regardless. and a few guys have got 110bhp out of there 1.6's. also i could of been confused with the 115 16 valve model (1.8).

I'd love a Streetka me, but SmurfheadGaz who works at Ford says that they're crap on petrol and are in the highest tax bracket.

So for now I'll stick with the Sei.

They are indeed, and to say they have an utter crap turning circle is a gross understatment! They're way too overweight due to the strengthening of chassis as its a ragtop. Chassis is based on the old fiesta, hence the 1.6 duratec is used rather than the better 2.0 duratec as theres just no room. Its a shoehorn for the 1.6 as is (which is why the turning circle is crap as along with the 16" alloys, theres just no room in the arches). Gearbox is lifeless too - so unresponsive. You can hardly tell its in gear!

Only good thing going for the car is the heated leather seats
