Got a 3/4" cut in the tread of one of my coupe wheel tyres. Doesn't puncture the wheel and was wondering if I could help close the split up a bit with rubber vulcanising solution?

If I can't fix it then I'll be throwing away all 4 tyres as I'm only planning to use them because they're there. Not correct size so not worth buying a single replacement.

you really need to be able to stitch it as it were from the inside, with like a rubber patch and some vulc, and do it on the outside. but TBH I don't think its worth it, as you could just drive over a cateye one day @ 60mph and the tyre blow out, really not worth the risk. I had to take my wheels off because some UNT stabbed a nail in the sidewall, so saving up for another tyre (£45 each(n) )

As long as the plys in the tyre are not visible then you should be able to get it repaired. I would get it done properly though, not by using vulacnising solution.
