Hi all just filled up with biodiesel in my 53 stilo took it for a run down motorway sweet as a nut ..i have to change filter after a little while because bio cleans engines ..it does'nt smell too bad either..let you know how i go on..Regards...Anne

Anyone noticed the price of cooking oil has jumped from around 45p a litre to over 60p a litre? Diesels run really smooth on vegetable oil, but the government wouldn't get as much tax so I think they have forced the hand of the supermarkets to up the price so it's no longer viable (after you have added the fuel tax surcharge) to run diesels on vegie oil.

Used oil works better also it needs to be mixed with a proper ratio of white spirit.

A farmer in the paper managed to save himself £30K a year by running all the farm machinery on it plus setting up an engined dyno as his power source instead of mains electricity.

We ran a test Tipo (1.9 TD indirect injection Bosch fuel pump) Direct on veg oil over several weeks. Off road of course. Straight out of the bottle. A pre-heater would have been useful to aid injection. No mixing with white spirit or 'dino diesel'

I buy biodiesel at 79p a litre from Liverpool.

You lucky devils (y) Up here in the north east were paying up to a £1.00and over.

Just wanted to know what the difference was between standard and bio? Are they cleaner or something? Or do they just lower emmissions?

do you do any mod on your engine...i thought we need to mod the tubing etc to make it run on straight off-shelf veg oil.
my country is hot climate, do i need to preheat first?
