Stilo is dead - long live the Bravo

Oh dear, why did the make it into an A3 with the lights reversed.

It's very dull IMO. Big let down for me.

The Alfa on the other hand :slayer: and it's red (y)

Re: Move over Stilo - new Bravo

It's a bit boring, looks like every other car on the road - if they're going to being out something new and exciting, let's make it new and exciting. I wonder if the 1.4T engine will fit in my engine bay though :chin:

Re: Move over Stilo - new Bravo

its basically a seat leon with very minor changes to the front end, which is a good thing because the leon chassis dynamics are as good as a golf's. i expect good cornering on this car.

Great, if thats the case, i'll wait for the Skoda version which will be cheap and reliable (y)

If they make that little Alfa, then my Punto is going, and I don't care how much it'll cost or how much money I'd lose! I'm not such a fan of the Grande Punto so it looks like a decent alternative.

The 'Bravo' on the other hand :yuck: Does it really look any more modern/improved/sexier than the current 5 door Stilo  I think not, why they can't employ some decent designers to come up with something unique and stylish I don't know. Brings shame to the original Bravo which was very unique and stylish.

For goodness sake fiat! im surpised they haven't gone the whole way and painted it beige! reminds me of what ford did with the new focus. come to think of it its not far off looking like one...

wheres the bravos pretty rear lights :(

well said. they were the icing on the cake, even the stilo's are a bit special. where the heritage?!?

Oh dear. That Bravo looks more dated than the Stilo already. How bizarre.
I prefer the Stilo mirrors - they're small and pod like and remind me of F1 cars. Seems a few other manufacturers have mimicked the look of a separate pod for their mirrors recently.

That Bravo is kind of along the same avenue of excitement where the Chroma lives.

Only just seen this.

I like the new Bravo. Not surprised they are killing off the Stilo name. The car bombed and is a bit of a joke in the trade - sorry but it is - sowhy bother with a name that has obvious conertations. Fiat are sensible bring back the Bravo, it was a sucess for Fiat and still a well regarded car, the Stilo has not been since day 1. Anything that is good for enhancing the Fiat brand has got to be good for us Fiat fans.

The mirrors seem to be large probably because of the requirements to meet NCAP criteria, an unfortunate effect. The back looks a bit like a Focus in IMO but not a bad thing, the new focus may not be radical but looks more modern than the hideously dated old model. The trouble with this car is that it looks very similar to every other car on the market, but does seem to be a modern interpretation of the Bravo/Brava.

Not sure blue is the right colour for it, in Red it would look more sporty, Fiats are suppose to be modern, different and funky so lets see some daring colours. They seem to have put a set of Megane wheels on it, something different might set it off better.

As for the Alfa, not sure, didn't make me go wow. We shall see.

Bravo set to return

Don't know if this has been posted about before, just wondering what everyone thought of it, pictures look good.

"Say Bravo for Fiat! It's the Italian firm's sleek replacement for the Stilo. The new family hatchback will not only debut a bold, new look but also revive the Bravo name, Auto Express can reveal.

The exclusive information from our Italian sources is that the next hatchback will bear the badge, previously seen on three-door models, as Fiat believes it has a strong image with buyers. Set to debut at the Paris Motor Show in September, the newcomer will go on sale in the UK in five-door form in early 2007, with a three-door, also called Bravo, to follow.

Penned by ex-Ferrari design director Frank Stephenson, now Fiat's chief designer, the stylish Bravo features a prominent Fiat grille,
framed by a pronounced nose and angled headlamps.

Circular spotlights integrated into a sporty lower bumper complete the front end. As with Seat's Leon, Fiat hopes that the confident look will set the Bravo apart from its less radically styled Ford Focus, Vauxhall Astra and Volkswagen Golf rivals.

Sharing the next-generation Alfa Romeo 149's platform, the Bravo will have a longer wheelbase than the Stilo, providing more cabin and boot space.

Power options include two new units, as revealed in Issue 902 - a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.6-litre oil-burner - as well as Fiat's existing 1.9-litre Multijet turbodiesels. Prices will start from about £12,500."

Re: Bravo set to return

lads the new Bravo won't look anything like that. Don't care what Autocar say, they're not official pics. Thats a Daewoo, with a slight makeover, don't know who came up with it, but its 100% fake! Autoexpress aren't axactly the most reliable source of info now are they! Trust me on this one!

its not too bad still prefer the old bravo me self. the newer fiats are seeming to lose that fiat look

except the Grande Punto mmmm mmmmmmmmmm. now that car is stunning

Well to be honest the stilo 2 looks ****,boring,no flare!in fact it follows the croma far too much and they are a true brand embarassment even a VW or a malayisain company(shock horror!)is more interesting, wheres the italian style? they will bury the brand with cr@p like that!
i bought my stilo shumi cos it looks nice and indivdual, few cars look like the stilo.

Well the Alfa stud looks pretty tho looks a tad too simliar to the 147 buti would buy one over the forth coming fiat cars even tho it would cost more.

To be honest the old 'Bravo' was a successful car while in early production but its residuals were no better than the Stilo is now, my dad had a Bravo and lost shed loads on it - so can you really call it successful?, I would have thought anyone who had experienced great deprecriation on a Bravo/Stilo would be less likely to buy the 'new' Bravo, Fiat will have to attract new customers.
